In pursuance of UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions) , Women Empowerment And Sexual Harassment Prevention Cell was established in SAMGC with the aim of not only empowering the girls by providing quality higher education, skill enhancement and groom them to face all the challenges of life but cell also ensure to provide a safe, secure and amiable atmosphere to the staff and students of the College. Our cell works for the identification of hidden potential of the young girls and facilitate them to excel in all. The cell operates with the following objectives :

• To create awareness among the women’s about their rights and duties.
• To educate and empower women about opportunities and resources.
• Planning various events to educate women about their health, sports, self-defense, etc
• Conduction of numerous competitions to promote participants’ artistic abilities and creativity.
• To instilling an entrepreneurial mindset in students and make them “job providers” rather than “job seekers”.
• To create the guidelines and rules regarding sexual harassment policy.
• To create policies and guidelines for handling sexual harassment in college campus.
