Objectives
To actively follow the Anti Ragging Act 2005 as per UGC guidelines issued to prevent any form of ragging within the college campus.
To enquiry into the incidents on ragging cases and take serious action against the defaulter depending on the type and seriousness of the offense.
The cell members are required to be vigilant and proactively participate in the matters related to maintaining a raging free campus.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Anti-Ragging Committee will function as the College’s monitoring and advisory committee in maintaining a culture of ragging-free campus of the institution.
The members of Anti-Ragging Squad Committees will be responsible for conducting random checks of classrooms, canteens, parking area and other gathering spots for students while working.
The Anti-Ragging Committee will also be responsible for creating strategies and an action plan to reduce the threat of ragging at the college by implementing a variety of activities.
The Anti-Ragging Committee and the College’s Governing Body will take strict action against the defaulter depending on the type and seriousness of the offense.
During the student’s orientation program, a talk is compulsorily included regarding ragging, their ill-effects and legal aspects of the same and students are counseled and educated about the same.
Composition
Anti ragging cell at SAM Girls College is headed by the Coordinator and Co-Coordinator with a team comprising of 05 members from various disciplinary departments.
