The Department of Computer Science at SAM Girls College was established with the objective of providing quality professional education and developing technical proficiency among students. It aims to create opportunities for a large segment of the population and to meet the evolving demands of employers in the global workplace.

Currently, the department offers the Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) program, which is designed to equip students with strong foundations in computer science, programming, and modern IT practices. The course focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to prepare students for careers in the IT industry and higher education.
