Introduction

Women Empowerment Cell of SAM Girls College is constituted with the aim to empower girl students and female staff members of the institution. The cell works towards creating awareness among women regarding their rights, responsibilities, opportunities and issues related to women welfare. The committee encourages women to participate actively in social, cultural, educational and economic activities and provides a platform for their overall development.

Objectives

To promote awareness about women rights and gender equality.

To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.

To organize seminars, workshops and awareness programmes on women empowerment.

To develop self confidence and leadership qualities among girl students.

To provide a platform for women to share their experiences and problems.

To guide women in achieving personal and professional excellence.

To encourage women participation in all academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

To ensure a safe and supportive environment for women within the college campus.
